What You Can Expect if You Are Asked to be Interviewed
How long will the interview take? The interview will last one hour or less. Your interviewer will have a structured interview guide to follow and will take notes during the interview.
Do I need to prepare for this interview? Not at all. You will be asked simple questions about the university, your department, and your role. There is no need for you to do any preparation.
Purpose of the Interview. The Collegiate Project Services interviewer is trying to learn as much as possible about The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in the brief time with you. The purpose of the interviews is to gather your opinions on several topics. The information gained from all the interviews will be used to help plan and organize for the selection and implementation of the ERP system.
Who is the interviewer? Your interviewer will be an experienced staff consultant from Collegiate Project Services, an independent project management firm that specializes in helping higher education prepare for, select, and implement ERP software systems. You can find the name of your interviewer on this website. You can also see a picture and read about your interviewer’s background on this website.
What kinds of questions will be asked? The first part of the interview will be spent in learning about you, your job, and how long you’ve been at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Then the interviewer will ask a series of questions about what you know, if anything, about the upcoming ERP system selection and implementation. You will also be asked your opinion on a series of topics such as how well people work together, how much leadership support there is for this project, and what concerns you have about the project.
Please note that all interviews are confidential. Collegiate Project Services will produce a report in which trends and summaries are presented, but no individual response will be revealed.
Will I get to learn the results from the interviews? Yes. Everyone who participates in the interviews will get a copy of the Readiness Assessment report for your institution, as well as a copy of a PowerPoint presentation containing a summary of the key findings.
