What You Can Expect if You Are Asked to Fill Out an Online Questionnaire

What is the online questionnaire?  The online questionnaire is a series of web-based questions that stakeholders can log in and complete at their convenience.

What is the purpose of this questionnaire? The purpose of the online questionnaire is to quickly gather input from a broad group of stakeholders who will be affected by the upcoming ERP system selection and implementation.  The information gathered through this questionnaire will be combined with information from individual interviews and focus group sessions, to determine the “readiness” of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to carry out this very important technology project.

How long will it take? The questionnaire itself may take up to 30 minutes to complete.  Moreover, you will have to complete the questionnaire in one sitting to ensure anonymity of the feedback.

What will be on the questionnaire? There will be a common set of questions for all participants.  In addition, there will be questions that will be specific to your role.  For example, IT personnel will complete a set of questions.  Personnel from functional departments (e.g., admissions, financial aid, etc.) will complete a different set of questions and academic personnel will complete yet another set of questions, and so on.

Do I need to prepare? Not at all.  You will be asked simple questions about the university, your department and role.  You will be asked your opinion on a number of issues regarding the upcoming ERP software selection and implementation and the ability of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to carry out this project.

What is the deadline? The timeframe for access to the online questionnaire will be sent to you via email.  The deadline for filling out this questionnaire will also be prominently posted on the website. 

Will I learn about the results?   Yes.  Everyone who participates in the online questionnaire will get a copy of the Readiness Assessment report as well as a PowerPoint presentation containing a summary of the key findings.
