Welcome to the NeSIS project!

As many of you are aware, The University of Nebraska and the Nebraska State College System are initiating an effort to select and implement a new Student Information System (SIS), to include all Student and Financial Aid modules. This will be a complex project that will involve faculty, staff, and students across all seven of our campuses.

We are excited at the prospect of improving our student systems capabilities and we expect to reap significant benefits as a result of our investment in this project.

The first phase of this project, which will last six or seven months, will be to acquire the SIS solution in the market that best fits the varied needs of our stakeholders across our institutions.  As you can imagine this will be a daunting task for us.  For this reason, we have selected Collegiate Project Services to help guide us through this effort.  Collegiate Project Services is an experienced project management firm that specializes in helping higher education institutions prepare for, select, and implement ERP solutions. 

Over the next several months, Collegiate Project Services staff members will be on-site at our various institutions. They will be helping us decide on the features we want in our new system and they will be helping us put together and execute an RFP process.  Finally, Collegiate Project Services will help us get ready to implement our new system.
